FATE JOSEPH McCLENNY 

   WINDSOR - A funeral service for Fate Joseph McClenny, 61, will be held 
today at 11 a.m. with military honors at Southampton Memorial Park by the 
Rev. Willis H. Switzer.  Wright Funeral Home will be in charge.  McClenny 
died Tuesday in a hospital.

   A native of Isle of Wight County, he was an Army veteran of World War 
II and was a merchant for over 30 years.

   Survivors include three daughters, Paula G. Griffiths of Larue, Tex., 
Verna M. Jones of Windsor and Margaret L. Harrell of Norfolk, two sons, 
Joseph A. McClenny of Tyler, Tx., and Mac Riddick McClenny of Smithfield; 
a sister, Ada Warren of Franklin; a brother, Hurley McClenny of Suffolk; 
and six grandchildren.

His father Frank R. McCLENNY d. 17 Nov 1933 in Nansemond Co. 
   and was buried (apparently unmarked) with his parents in a 
   COPELAND family cemetery in his native Nansemond Co.

Divorced, Fate's wife Jean (GALLMAN) 2m. Earl M. REEP and is buried in 
   Shiloh Cemetery, in Isle of Wight Co.  Her Find a Grave Memorial 
   (#73515963) has her listed as Jean G. McClenny, but the photos show: 
   JEAN G. McCLENNY REEP.
