She was a native and a lifelong resident of Courtland, and the wife of Harold Carrey* McGrath. She was a member of Courtland Methodist Church. Surviving besides her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Becky Anne Doughtey of Henderson, N.C.; one son Harold Carrey McGrath, Jr. of Courtland; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth G. King of Rescue, Va., three grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Friday 11 A.M. [at] Courtland United Methodist Church by the Rev. William W. Clark, Jr. Burial in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or the Courtland United Methodist Church.
