All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ PATRICIA FERGUSON MITCHELL Patricia Ferguson Mitchell, 62, widow of Julian Banister Mitchell and owner of Mitchell's Supermarket, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, at Southampton Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Mitchell was a native of Greensville County, Va., and a member of Courtland United Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Hope Wrenn Mitchell and her husband, Jessie Moore, of South Hill, Julia Mitchell Owens and her husband, Rhett, of Courtland; a son, John Banister Mitchell of Surry; her parents, C. Wade and Odell Wrenn Ferguson; a brother, Steve Ferguson and his wife, Patsy, all of Emporia; and two grandchildren, Justin Lisk and Kyle Moore. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Riverside Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Parks officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the home of Julia and Rhett Owens, 22390 Main St. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Mrs. Ruth Petty, 116 Southampton Road, Franklin, VA 23851 or Courtland UMC, 22416 Main St., Courtland, VA 23837.
