Holland & Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert D. Fridley of High Street Methodist Church. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were Edward Gilliam, James Maddrey, Jesse A. Weede Jr., W.T. Pace Jr., Ellsworth Jones, Frank A. Day Jr., Marvin Land, H.A. Overton. Mrs. Maddrey, 70, died early Thursday in a Petersburg hospital after a long illness. She was the wife of K.R. Maddrey and a daughter of Thomas Robert and Mrs. Celestine Futrell. A native of Woodland, N.C., she lived here 40 years. She was a member of High Street Methodist Church. Besides her husband, surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Harry Cobb of Franklin, three sons Leon Hart Traylor and T.R. Traylor of Jacksonville, Fla. and Junius W. Traylor of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., a brother, Venton Futrell of Eugene, Ore.; three sisters, Mrs. Grady Ricks and Mrs. Elizabeth Taylor of Conway, N.C., and Mrs. Lucille Dalton of Stantonburg, N.C.; 11 grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.
