CARRIE RAWLS VICK MILES

   Franklin - A funeral service for Mrs. Carrie R.V. Miles, 86, was held Friday 
in Holland-Rideout funeral home, Franklin, by the Rev. Kenneth Williams. Burial 
was in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin.

   She died Dec. 22 in Lake Taylor City Hospital, Norfolk.

   She was a lifelong resident of Franklin and the widow of Garnet Miles. She 
was a member of Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church at Handsom.

   Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lillian Vick Bankard of Cambridge, Md.; 
two sons, Harvey F. Vick of Newsoms and Linwood L. Vick of Hampton; a sister, 
Mrs. Minnie Byrum of Petersburg; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
