All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ CEBRILLE LANKFORD MILES Mrs. Cebrille Lankford Miles, 58, widow of Lewis Milton Miles of Franklin, died suddenly in a Norfolk hospital on Monday morning, August 10, after several years of ill health. The deceased was native of Isle of Wight County, a daughter of the late Elihu and Mary Howell Lankford. She was a member of the New Hope Methodist Church near Como, N.C. Surviving her are two brothers, John Lankford of Norfolk and Forrest Lankford of Emporia; and two sisters, Mrs. L. Britt Holland of Franklin and Miss Tyree Lankford of Carrsville. Final rites were conducted at the grave in Poplar Spring Cemetery on Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock by Rev. Edwin C. Thornton, pastor of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. The pallbearers were Samuel Bradshaw, Rosser Bryant, Charlie Daughtrey, William Drewry, Lewis Holland, Robert Holland, Jimmie Lankford and Percy A. Whitley. Cebrille (LANKFORD; Mrs. Lewis M.)
