GEORGE THOMAS MILES, JR.

   Funeral services for George Thomas Miles, Jr., 25, of Newsoms, who on 
Wednesday of last week was killed in a traffic accident near Tampa, Fla., 
while homeward found from his wedding trip, were conducted Saturday morning 
at 11 o'clock in the Newsoms Baptist Church, of which the deceased was a 
member.

   Officiating were Rev. L.F. Smith, pastor of the church, and Rev. O.L. 
Gochenour, pastor of the Newsoms Methodist Church.

   Burial was in Newsoms Cemetery, the pallbearers being Charles Bunn, J.C. 
Bunn, Jr., Joe Everett, Eppa Prince, George Thorpe, Herbert Vick, Peter Vick, 
and Robert Worrell.
