RILLARD STITH MILES

   BOYKINS - Rillard S. Miles, 72, died at his home Saturday night of a heart 
attack.

   He was a native of Southampton County and the son of Mac and Mrs. Sue Pope 
Watson Miles.  He was a member of Clarksbury Methodist Church.

   He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Johnson Miles; two daughters, Mrs. 
Vernie Griffin of Boykins and Mrs. Esmond Worrell of Suffolk; one sister, Miss 
Lillian Miles of Boykins, and two granddaughters.

   A funeral service was conducted today (Monday) at 2:30 p.m. in Purviance 
Funeral Home, Boykins, by the Rev. Harrell G. Thach of Clarksbury Methodist 
Church.  Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery.

   Pallbearers were Richard Banty, Richard Ricks, Herbert M. Francis, J.C. 
Blowe, George Davis, Eugene Lee and Joseph W. Pope, Jr.
