WILLIE EDWARD MILES 

   CAPRON - A graveside funeral service for Willie Edward Miles was conducted 
at 2 p.m. Thursday in Capron Cemetery by the Rev. William F. McMahann.  Echols 
Funeral Home, Emporia, was in charge.

   Pallbearers were R.T. Baker, E.V. Smith, D.H. Bell, Moncure Francis, V.S. 
Pittman Sr. and L.R. Magee.

   Miles, 75, died Tuesday at his home in Capron.

   A native of Southampton County, he was the son of Joseph F. and Mrs. Fannie 
Glover Miles.  He was a member of the Capron Baptist Church and a retired 
merchant.

   There are no immediate survivors.
