He was a native of the Black Creek community*, a lifelong resident and a farmer. He was a former employee of the St. Regis Corp., in Franklin. He was a member of the Black Creek Baptist Church. He was a son of Alex Wills and Mrs. Elizabeth Brock Munford. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ruth Bradshaw Munford of Franklin; two daughters, Mrs. John W. Goodrich of Wakefield and Mrs. Harmon A. Webb of Bels Spring, Va.; two sons, John A. Munford and Alvin J. Munford, both of Zuni; 14 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Crawford Munford of Franklin and nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at the Black Creek Baptist Church Monday at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. Len B. Allen, Jr., pastor. Burial was in the church cemetery.
