All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ IVA GOODRICH MUNFORD Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in Purviance Funeral Chapel in Wakefield Funeral Chapel in Wakefield for Mrs. Iva Goodrich Munford, who died last Sunday after a week’s illness. The services were conducted by the Rev. J.R. Roberts and the Rev. Grover T. Holder. Burial was in Black Creek Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were R. Jerome Goodrich, Melton Goodrich, Donald West, Eldridge Turner, Charles E. Bradshaw, Miles Carr, D.S. Edwards and James E. Bryant. Besides her father and husband, surviving are her stepmother, Mrs. Violet M. Goodrich of Wakefield; two sons, John A. Munford Jr. of Franklin and Thurman D. Munford of Zuni; five sisters, Mrs. Haywood O. Barrett of Zuni, Mrs. Frank E. Doss Jr. of Newsoms, Mrs. James A. Carden of Waverly, Miss Mary Agnes Goodrich and Mrs. Frank R. Johnson Jr. of Wakefield; three brothers, John W. Goodrich Jr., of Portsmouth, E. Carlton Goodrich of Wakefield and Herbert M. Goodrich of Mt. Juliet, Tenn.; a half brother, Ronnie A. Goodrich of Wakefield; three stepbrothers, Robert Henry Butler Jr. of Nashville, Tenn., Thomas William Butler of Portsmouth and Frederick Wayne Butler of Wakefield; two step-sisters, Mrs. Rose Marie Weber of Wakefield and Mrs. Glenn Wood of Holland; and two grandchildren.
