All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ MARTHA SARAH BRANCH MUNFORD Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Munford, who died at her home near Sedley, were held at Millfield Baptist Church Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock by Rev. Gordon Price. The choir sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Have Thine Own Way, Lord." There were many floral tributes. Mrs. Munford was the widow of the late Charlie Mumford and is survived by the following children: Mrs. J.B. Drewry and Robert Munford of Suffolk, G.W. Munford of Petersburg, D.M. Munford of Ivor, Herman Munford of Branchville, Mrs. John Drewry, R.D., J.P. and Charles Munford of Sedley; a sister, Mrs. J.T. Johnson of Franklin; two brothers, J.H. Branch of Portsmouth, and S.J. Branch of Boykins; 19 grandchildren, eight nieces and four nephews. Burial took place in Millfield Cemetery. Pallbearers were: D.L. Lowe, W.H. Drewry, J.T. Bradshaw, Lee Vick, J.P.
