Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. at Emmanuel Episcopal Church Cradock, by the Rev. David C. George, pastor. During the services Mrs. J.T. Patterson and Mrs. G.W. Doughtery sang "Son of My Soul" and "Hark! Hark! My Soul" with Mrs. E.Q Heely as accompanist. Pallbearers were: G.L. Quinn, G.A. Treakle, John Flagg, Hal Field, E.P. Hall and H.B. Carthwright. The deceased was former president of Mothers’ Group No. 205 Boy Scouts of America. Members of Troop 205 and the mothers group attended the services in a body. Mrs. Monaghan was the wife of James Monaghan, formerly of this town.
