All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ KATHERINE SHIFLETT MANRY COURTLAND - A funeral service for Mrs. Katherine Shiflett Manry, 89, was held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Manry family cemetery on Linden Street by the Rev. Edmund Ellis, Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, has charge. Pallbearers were: Tommy Pittman, Junius Pulley, Hatcher Story, H.H. Edwards, John Rollison and Jimmy Woodard. Mrs. Manry died Wednesday night in her home. A native of Fluvanna County, she was the widow of Lucius Mahone Manry. She was a member of Courtland Baptist Church, a former teacher, and graduate of Farmville Normal School. She also was a member of Fluvanna County and Southampton County historical societies, and Nottoway Woman’s Club. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. John William Harville and son-in-law, J.W. Harville of Courtland; and four grandchildren; Mrs. Martha Buettner, Billy Harville, Miss Nancy Harville and Edward Harville, all of Courtland. [Katherine (SHIFLETT; Mrs. Lucius M.)
