VIRGINIA BELL MURRAY

   A graveside funeral service for Miss Virginia Bell Murray was conducted at 
2 p.m. Sunday in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. Charles E. Smith.  W.J.M. 
Holland & Sons Funeral Home was in charge.

   Pallbearers were Robert Lassiter, Linnie Gray Jr., Robert Mackan, Lee 
Presson, Earl Tingler and Richard Rose Jr.

   Miss Murray, 55, died Thursday in a Newport News nursing home.

   A native of Surry County, she was a daughter of Walter Dennis and Mrs. Ida 
Bell Murray.

   She was a member of Franklin Congregational Christian Church.

   She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Sadie Coggsdale of Franklin; a brother, 
Samuel D. Murray of Norfolk; and a nephew, James E. Coggsdale of Franklin.
