Jr., which occurred in the Retreat for the Sick Hospital, Richmond, Virginia, about 11 o'clock p.m. Aubrey had been employed for several years as a foreman at the State Farm near Richmond. He was generally popular with a large number of friends in his home community and in Richmond. He was a member of Whiteheads M.E. Church, joining there when a small child. He leaves to mourn their loss a broken-hearted father and mother; three sisters, Mrs. G.W. Turner, Virginia and Louise Marks, and three brothers, Frank, Tom and Paul Marks. He was buried in the Capron Cemetery, Friday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock funeral services being conducted by Rec. C.H. Fielding. The body bearers were: Lewis, Henry, Hinson and Bill Marks, David Bell, Roland Baker, Winfield Crichton and Sam Ezelle. The honorary bearers were selected from a number of his friends. The floral offerings were numerous and beautiful and a large number of friends followed his body to its last resting place. ****************************************************************************** IN MEMORIAM In loving remembrance of our son, Aubrey Marks, who left us two years ago, May 7. Remembrance is a golden chain, Death tries to break but all in vain; To have to love and then to part, Is the greatest sorrow of one's heart. Sunshine passes, shadows fall, Love's remembrances out lasts all; And though the years be many or few, They are filled with remembrance dear Aubrey of you. Mother and father, brothers and sisters.
