ALICE ROE MORRIS

   FRANKLIN - A funeral service for Mrs. Alice Roe Morris, 63, was held Monday 
at 3 p.m. in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. Allan Melton.  Wright Funeral 
Home was in charge.

   Mrs. Morris died Saturday in Southampton Memorial Hospital.

   She was an employee of R.D.F. Discount Stores.  She was a Baptist.

   Other survivors include three sons, Gordon Morris of Newsoms, James E. 
Morris of Franklin, and Johnnie M. Morris of Suffolk; three sisters, Mrs. Ada 
Balscia of New Castle, Mrs. Dorothy Whitehurst of Portsmouth, and Mrs. Hazel 
Baulch of Norfolk; and 12 grandchildren.
