Marks of Capron died at her home in that town Thursday* afternoon after in illness of many months. She was in her 62nd year, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fox of Drewryville, a consistent Christian character of many exemplary qualities and was a loyal member of Whitehead’s M.E. Church. On October 27, 1891, she married E.L. Marks and they made their home at Pope for many years until they moved to Capron about two years ago. Funeral services were conducted from the residence in Capron Thursday* afternoon at 3 o’clock by her Pastor, Rev. R.H. Marks, assisted by a former Pastor, Rev. A.K. Lambdin of Crittenden, Va. The active pallbearers were: H.T. Smith of Boykins, W.T. Smith of Appomattox, Bernard A. Gillette of Lawrenceville, Frank Marks of Pope, J. Elwood Fox of Capron, A.B. Bunch of Portsmouth, all nephews of Mrs. Marks, and Dr. J.N. Applewhite, the family physician. She is survived by her husband, Edward L. Marks, and the following sons and daughters: R.F. Marks of Boykins; Lewis M. Marks of Courtland; Henry E. Marks and E.L. Marks, Jr., of Pope; Henson P. Marks of Norfolk; Mrs. V.S. Pittman and Mrs. S.E. White of Capron; Mrs. Frank Culpepper of Suffolk; Mrs. Clyde Edwards of Franklin; 25 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Delia Smith of Drewryville; Mrs. H.A. Gillette of Courtland; four brothers, John P. and Roy B. Fox of Drewryville; Frank Fox of Townesville, N.C. and Henry Fox of Baltimore. Fannie Rebecca Brown (FOX; Mrs. Edward L.) MARKS, d.
