Morris of Norfolk and daughter of the late George W. and Mrs. Eliza Turner Wade of Franklin, died in a Norfolk hospital on Monday afternoon, February 16, at 1 o’clock. A former resident of Franklin, Mrs. Morris had made her home in Norfolk for the past 16 years. In addition to her husband the survivors are her stepmother, Mrs. Mary E. Wade of Franklin; and three sisters, Mrs. Virgie W. Rogers of Emporia and Mrs. Harold S. Atkinson and Mrs. John B. Watson, both of Franklin. Funeral services for Mrs. Morris were conducted in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland & Sons on Wednesday afternoon at 4 o’clock by Rev. R.D. Stephenson, followed by interment in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Acting as pallbearers were William Bradshaw, Fenton Cobb, Warren Councill, W. Tall Jones, Guy Ringer, Ernest Lloyd Smith, Thurman Copeland and Walter Luther Young.
