All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ JESSE FRANCIS MURRELL Jesse Francis Murrell, 75, a former resident of Suffolk and a native of Southampton County died Sunday June 2, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. H.C. Lassiter, in Norfolk. Mr. Murrell was the son of J.F. and Mrs. Martha Harrell Murrell of this county and was for a number of years a merchant in Boykins. He was a charter member of Hebron Church, being superintendent of its Sunday school for a quarter of a century. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Hugh Richardson of Petersburg, Mrs. H.S. Miles of Suffolk and Mrs. H.C. Lassiter of Norfolk; and one sister, Mrs. J.E. Gilliam, of Franklin. Funeral services were held in Petersburg Monday afternoon, interment being made in Blandford Cemetery.
