All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ ROBERT ALLEN NIBLETT Robert Allen Niblett, a merchant in Ivor for 34 years, died in the Patrick Henry Hospital on Thursday, November 22. A deacon in the Ivor Baptist Church, Mr. Niblett was a son of the B.F. and Setta* Niblett. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Hutie Niblett; six brothers, L.F. Niblett of Courtland, Edward Niblett of Windsor, and A.P., B.F. G.C. and J.C. Niblett of Ivor; one sister, Mrs. I.T. Hancock of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at the Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon by Rev. Scott Hutton, Jr., and L.M. Kanipe. A quartette composed of Mrs. S.T. Doles, Jr., Miss Margaret Elizabeth Stephenson, Ernest Pittman and C.M. Ramsey sang "Sweet Bye And Bye" and "What A Friend." Interment was in the family cemetery near Ivor. Active pallbearers were A.P., B.F., Edward, G.C. and L.F. Niblett, J.L. Parson, Douglas Pulley and L.T. Saunders. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Baraca class of the Ivor Baptist Church.
