Nicholson, 52, wife of Jefferson Davis Nicholson, died at her residence, 401 North Sixth Avenue, at 9 a.m. Sunday. She was a native of Southampton County, Virginia, and lived in Hopewell for the past ten years. She is also a second cousin to the great Confederate General. Stonewall Jackson. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Miss Lucy Nicholson, Mrs. Julia smith and Miss Virginia Nicholson of this city; five sons, Richter E. Nicholson of Philadelphia, Pa.; Charles B., George W., Leroy A., Vincent L. Nicholson, all of Hopewell; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Fuller, Hopewell; Mrs. Ella Nicholson, Southampton County, Virginia; five brothers, Paul Joyner of Norfolk, Sam W, W.R., D. J. and J.H. Joyner of Southampton County. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Hopewell Funeral Parlors on Poythress Street, with burial in Appomattox Cemetery. The Rev. H.W. Landrum, pastor of the Hopewell Methodist Church, will officiate. Fannie Belle (JOYNER; Mrs. Jefferson D.)
