Holland & Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. Charles C. Spivey and the Rev. W.L. McMahan. Burial was in Capron Cemetery. Pallbearers were H.E. Hagler, Dr. D.C. Williams, Marvin Felton, Pattie Felts, Pete Barham, Donald Little, Vince Short, and Charles Joyner. Nicholson, 66, died Wednesday in a Richmond hospital. A native of Southampton County, he was a son of Joseph M. and Mrs. Ella Joyner Nicholson and the husband of Mrs. Leola Bryant Nicholson. He was a member of Capron Methodist Church and Indiantown Hunt Club. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, R.L. Nicholson, Jr. and James M. Nicholson of Courtland, four sisters, Mrs. Daisy Edwards of Norfolk, Mrs. S.M. Wells of Houston, Mrs. Ruby McKinnon of Hampton, and Mrs. W.E. Moody of Scottsville; and two grandchildren.
