She was the widow of Leon Delano Nixon; a native of Southampton County; and a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Surviving are two sons, Charles Nixon and Tim Nixon, both of Sebrell; her father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. E.L. Marks, Jr., of Courtland; two sisters, Mrs. Shirley McBroom of Fredericksburg and Mrs. Patsy Cox of Courtland; two brothers, E.L. Marks III of Franklin and James F. Marks of Courtland; her uncle, Hinton Kitchen of Sebrell. Graveside services will be conducted Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland, by the Rev. Whitaker Shelton.
