Daniel Spell. Burial was in Drewryville Cemetery. Mrs. Newsome, 78, died in her home Sunday afternoon. A native of Southampton County, she was the widow of Charlie L. Newsome and a daughter of George Henry and Mrs. Mary A. Edwards. She was a member of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church. Surviving are two sons, C.L. Newsome Jr. of San Diego, Calif. and James E. Newsome of Drewryville; a daughter, Mrs. John R. Rogieski of Tampa, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. William J. Spain Sr. of Drewryville and Mrs. J.J. Lee of Rocky Mount, N.C.; two brothers, Sam E. Edwards and Irving Edwards of Adams Grove; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Essie Estelle (EDWARDS; Mrs. Charlie L.
