JOHN ALBERT NORFLEET

   GREENSBORO, N.C. - John Albert Norfleet, 65, former resident of Franklin 
and Portsmouth, Va. died Saturday in a Greensboro hospital after an illness 
of several months.

   A native of Franklin, he lived here many years.

   Surviving are his widow, the former Annie M. Whittingham; one daughter, 
Mrs. Charles Taylor of Greensboro; one son J.A. Norfleet, Jr. of Portsmouth; 
one sister, Mrs. Henry E. Grizzard of Drewryville; one brother, Linwood B. 
Norfleet of Franklin; and six grandchildren.

   A funeral service was held Monday in Forbis and Dick Funeral Chapel, 
Greensboro, with burial in Green Hill Cemetery.

   Those from Franklin who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. L.B. 
Norfleet, Mrs. J. Felton Johnson and Miss Cora Melgard.
