NORFLEET FRANKLIN - A funeral service for Linwood E. Norfleet was conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in Franklin Congregational Christian Church by the Rev. William A. Grissom. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery with W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Dr. Benjamin Goodman, Hayes Holland, Dr. Carl Hellberg, Floyd F. Jenkins, Harvey Lankford Jr., Leigh Johnson, J. Letcher Eley and John Q. Galloway. Norfleet, 78, died Friday morning in Southampton Memorial Hospital. A native of Franklin, he was a son of Isaac Walter and Mrs. Effie Cobb Norfleet and the husband of Mrs. Alice* Tall Norfleet. He was a deacon of Franklin Congregational Christian Church and a retired merchant. Besides his wife, he is survived by nieces and nephews. Linwood E.
