Franklin - A funeral service for Walter Henry Norfleet Jr., 63, was held Monday at 3:30 P.M. in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. William M. Everhart. He died Saturday in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, Suffolk, after an accident involving a tractor he was driving on Route 189 and an automobile. A native of Franklin, he was the husband of Mrs. Nellie Cotton Norfleet. He was retired from the sales division of Union Camp Corp. and was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Franklin Congregational Christian Church. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Sue Parker Talbott of Raleigh, N.C. and Mrs. Ethel Ann Blythe of Franklin; two sisters, Mrs. Cora Norfleet Melgard and Mrs. J. Felton Johnson of Franklin; and a granddaughter.
