All Franklin was shocked on Wednesday by the terrible burning of little Elzie Virginia Norris, the only child of Mr. and Mrs. T.W. Norris. The little girl who was four years old on February 24th, in attempting to start a fire in an upstairs room at her home ignited her clothing and before help could reach her was seriously burned. The fatal accident occured a few minutes after one o'clock, and at nine o'clock death had conquered pain and the little one slept. The burial will take place in Poplar Spring Cemetery this (Thursday) afternoon at 5 o'clock. THE NEWS extends its sympathy to the grief-stricken parents, commending them to the One who said: "I will not leave you comfortless."
