All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ BERTHA EDWARDS NORECK Mrs. Bertha Edwards Noreck, 64, a resident of Franklin for the past 16 months, died in Raiford Memorial Hospital on Wednesday afternoon, May 15, at 4:45 o'clock after a long illness. Mrs. Noreck was the wife of Saul* Jackson Noreck, a former businessman of Smithfield, N.C., and a resident of Franklin. She was a daughter of the late Joel Taylor and Mrs. Allan Hearne Edwards, and was a member of High Street Methodist Church. Besides her husband she is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Stella W. Porter of Newport News, Mrs. Margaret Powell of Franklin, and Mrs. Lillian Duell of Norfolk; one brother, Joel Taylor Edwards, of Syracuse, N.Y.; a niece, Mrs. Virginia O. Wilkinson of Newport News; and a nephew, Robert Warren Orr of Kinston, N.C. Services for Mrs. Noreck will be conducted in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland & Sons tomorrow (Friday) afternoon at 4:30 o'clock by Rev. James W. Turner, pastor of High Street Methodist Church. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Bertha (EDWARDS; Mrs. Sol.J.)
