Mrs. Nurney was the wife of W.W. Nurney of Courtland, and the daughter of the late Henry Lewis and Mrs. Mobray Caroon Gray, of Southampton County. She was a member of the Boykins Baptist Church. In addition to her husband she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Gladys Nurney Whitehead, Mrs. Milma N. Bryant, Mrs. Nellie N. Ballard, and Mrs. Margaret N. Majette, all of Courtland, sever grandchildren; one brother, W.E. Gray of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Allie Nurney, of Capron, and Mrs. Helen Rock of Boykins, and one nephew, Elmore Rock of Boykins. The body was taken to the funeral home of W.J.M. Holland and Sons, Franklin, pending completion of funeral arrangements. Mary Jane "Mae" (GRAY; Mrs. "Willie" W.)
