He was the son of James A. and Mrs. Annie Beale O'Berry. Mr. O'Berry was a native of Southampton County, he was a member of the Newsoms Methodist Church and of the Men's Bible Class and a veteran of World War I. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Sallie O'Berry Vick and Mrs. Ruth O'Berry Griffin both of Newsoms and three nephews. The funeral service was conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home. Burial was in Newsoms Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Worrell, Earl Worrell, J.C. Bunn, Jr., J.T. Story, Jr., Epper Prince Jr., and Hugh Carter.
