Born in Nansemond County, she was a daughter of the late Bruce S. and Victoria Green Rose and a member of Franklin Baptist Church. Survivors include her aunt, Stella Powell of Franklin; a devoted friend, Belin Watson of Franklin; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, Brad O'Berry, and a brother, Bruce R. Rose. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Wright Funeral Home. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home and suggests that memorials be made to a favorite charity.
