She was born in Southampton County, a daughter of the late William M. and Rosa Drake. She was the widow of Will O'Berry and a member of Barnes United Methodist Church. Mrs. O'Berry was a dedicated caregiver for her family, and had a passion for flowers that gave pleasure to everyone. Surviving are a son, Harold T. Drake and his wife, Carolyn; a brother, Willie T. Drake and his wife, Adele, all of Newsoms; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Lonie Williams, Lucy Carter, Lena Worrell, Cosey Gray and Willa Story. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday by the Rev. Charles Langley. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Wright Funeral Home, Boykins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Barnes United Methodist Church, Statesville Road, Newsoms, VA 23874, or to Boykins Rescue Squad, 18206 Virginia Ave., Boykins.
