He was the son of William Henry and Mary Beale O達erry, and surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Louisa Glover O達erry of Franklin; three daughters, Mrs. Frank Whitley and Mrs. Laurie Langley of Franklin, and Mrs. Carrie Ward of Nansemond County; a son, W.T. O達erry of Newsoms; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mr. O達erry was employed as a district road foreman in the county for many years before he had to retire from active work. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at the grave in Poplar Spring Cemetery here by the Rev. Harry W. Backhus, III, and the Rev. R.D. Stephenson. Pallbearers were: John Beale, J. Edgar Weede, L.M. Vaughan and Arthur Turner of Franklin; Robert O達erry of Newsoms and Lee O達erry of Suffolk.
