A. A. Galvin, officiating. Seaman Person, who was born in Southampton County Mar 1,1926, had lived in Newport News since the age of seven. He attended the schools of this city and graduated in the 1943 class of Huntington High School. He volunteered for service on January 12, and was on on furlough in March. He is survived by his father, Joe Person of Southampton; and his mother, Mrs. Ethel Murphy Person of this city, a grandfather, grandmother, six uncles, one aunt. Burial took place Monday of this week in Mt. Gilead AME Church Cemetery, Southampton County with Cook Brothers Funeral Home in charge. Additional Comments: Mt.
