BENJAMIN HERBERT POPE

Benjamin Herbert Pope, age 69, retired guard Southampton Correctional Farm, 
died September 22, 1972.  Survived by four sisters, Mrs. Bessie P. Thompson, 
Mrs. Mary P. Banty, Mrs. Janie P. Griffin, all of Capron. Mrs. Willie P. 
Whitehurst, Chesapeake; two brothers, Thomas E. Pope, Richmond, Joseph N. 
Pope, Chesapeake; several nieces and nephews.  Remains rest at Echols Funeral 
Home, Emporia, where funeral services will be conducted 2 P.M., Sunday, with 
interment in Capron Cemetery.
