Widowed, at age 31 he 2m. 5 Sep 1888 Rebecca/Rebekah CAPPS, age 18, 
   Grace's mother & sister of his first wife. (Nansemond Co.) 

Their family appears in the 1900 Census in Sleepy Hole District (e.d. 31), 
   Nansemond Co. - sheet 19A, household #397. 

Widowed, Rebecca 2m. 22 Sep 1909 Robert W. BRINKLEY, in Suffolk; they 
   divorced.
