JOSEPH WILLIAM POPE

   Joseph William Pope, 76, died at his home in Boykins Wednesday, 
December 11.  He is survived by his wife and two sons, J.W. Pope, Jr. 
of Boykins and John Pope of Emporia, and two grandchildren.  Funeral 
services will be held the (Friday) afternoon at 3 o’clock at the grave 
in Capron Cemetery, with Rev. W.L. Sturdevant officiating.  The active 
pallbearers will be: Dr. J.M. Bland, J.M. White, Wallace White, H.F. 
McCoy, W.H. Story and V.S. Pittman.  Mrs. P.T. Person and Mrs. H.M. 
Purviance will furnish the music.
