He is survived by his wife and two sons, J.W. Pope, Jr. of Boykins and John Pope of Emporia, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held the (Friday) afternoon at 3 o’clock at the grave in Capron Cemetery, with Rev. W.L. Sturdevant officiating. The active pallbearers will be: Dr. J.M. Bland, J.M. White, Wallace White, H.F. McCoy, W.H. Story and V.S. Pittman. Mrs. P.T. Person and Mrs. H.M. Purviance will furnish the music.
