WILLIAM GROVER POPE, JR.

   William G. Pope, Jr., three-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. William G. Pope of 
Newsoms, died Sunday morning at Dooley Hospital, Richmond.  Funeral services 
were held Monday afternoon at 5 o’clock at the grave in Newsoms cemetery, 
conducted by the Rev. C.F. Moseley of Newsoms Methodist Church.  Pallbearers 
were R.G. Carter, J.W. Drake, J.T. Worrell and Robert Hancock.

Southampton Co. native, d. 13 Aug 1939, Richmond, age 3,

*Willie Jr. shares a stone with three infant siblings; his father & all three 
   wives and Jr's maternal grandparents are all buried there.
