PITTMAN Florie Turner Pittman, 90, of Ivor, died Monday, Oct. 9, 2000 in Waverly. Born in Isle of Wight, she was the widow of Willie L. Pittman, mother of the late Dorothy S. Carr and grandmother of the late Joann Carr. Survivors include a sister, Mary Brown of Sedley; three grandsons, Willie "Butch" Carr Jr., Robert "Shorty" Carr and James Earl Carr, all of Ivor; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. A funeral will be held in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, at 4 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Ivor Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
