JOHN IRVIN PITTMAN

John I. Pittman, passed away Friday, February 1, 1985 in Vera Beach, Fla. 
He was a native of Courtland, Va.  He practiced law in Northern Va.  He 
was the beloved father of Robert Pittman, Pat Pittman Spengler and Virginia 
Pittman Boschen.  He is survived by Cedric and Marjorie Pittman and brother, 
Clarence; three sisters, Josephine Coiner, Elizabeth Terrell and Margaret 
Baker, two nephews, Dale and Henry Pittman; five grandchildren, Jason, 
Jennifer, Janie Lynn Pittman and Christine and Emily Boschen.  He was 
married to Cathleen Marie Shea of Wakefield, Mass, who predeceased him in 
1972.  The family will receive friends at the Wright Funeral Home, at 1 p.m. 
Tuesday, February 5, 1985 to be followed by a 3 p.m. graveside service in 
Courtland.
