A lifelong resident here, she was a daughter of Benjamin F. and Sarah Cook Johnson, the widow of Charlie Hinson Pittman, and a member of Mill Swamp Baptist Church. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. R.L. Saunders of Suffolk, Mrs. A.C. Lowe of Elberon, and Mrs. Milton Babb and Miss Louise Pittman of Ivor; five sons, Luster H. Pittman, Willie L. Pittman, J. Wilbert Pittman and Joseph E. Pittman of Ivor and Charlie J. Pittman of Elberon; a brother, James F. Johnson of Ivor; 19 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. A funeral service was conducted in Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. Gilbert Profitt of Mill Swamp Church. Nannie May (JOHNSON; Charlie H.)
