Harold fuss. Burial was in Riverside cemetery, Courtland, with W.J.M. & Sons Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Ryland Beale Jr., Ben E. Babb, John W. Rollison Jr., Walter White Cobb, Clarence Pittman, Wallace S. Simmons, Edward H. Brooks Jr. and H.C. Manry. Mrs. Pittman, 73, the widow of William T. Pittman, died Sunday in a Norfolk hospital after illness of several weeks. A native of Danville, she lived in Courtland 45 years. She was a daughter of W.T. and Mrs. Nora Berry Wood. She was a member of Courtland Methodist Church and its Clara Parker Woman's Circle. Surviving are a son, William Tommie Pittman of Courtland; three daughters, Mrs. Louise Bennich of Belmont, Mass., Mrs. Ruth Shiller of Courtland, and Mrs. Dorothy Howe of Norfolk; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
