CALVIN RILEY PATRICK

    Calvin Riley Patrick, 36, a resident of Franklin for the past few years, 
died suddenly at his home on Tuesday afternoon of last week.

   He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Evelyn Clifford Blythe of 
Franklin; one daughter, Miss Edna Mae Patrick; one son, Henry Riley Patrick, 
both of Franklin; his parents, Charles Henry and Mae Swindell Patrick, and 
grandfather, G.R. Swindell of Weeksville, N.C.; two brothers, Herbert W. 
Patrick of Camp Polk, La., and C.H. Patrick of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. 
Roger Whitley of Franklin, and Mrs. Herbert Aydlett of Norfolk.

   Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock by the Rev. 
R.D. Stephenson, burial being made in Poplar Spring Cemetery.  Pallbearers 
were J.F. Winbauer, Purcell Blythe, Harry Ward, Marshall Wise, William Blythe, 
Roger Whitley and Herbert Aydlett.
