He was born in Madison Parish, Louisiana, of Swedish parents and had been a resident of Franklin for a number of years where he pursued his occupation of harness maker until his health failed. He married Miss Annie Virginia Glover of Sunbeam, this county, who survives him with four sons, Johnnie Peterson of Franklin, Roy Peterson of Newport News, Carey and Joe Peterson of Norfolk, and a daughter, Mrs. Harry H. Hunter of Norfolk, besides several grandchildren. Funeral services were held last Saturday morning at 11 o'clock. Charles Augustus PETERSON, retired harness maker, b.
