All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ RICHMOND HENRY PETERS Franklin, March 22 - (Special) - Richmond Henry Peters, aged 63, husband of Mrs. Eugenia Person Peters and well-known resident of Franklin, died at Lakeview Hospital early this morning after a short illness. He had been agent of the Southern Railway here for 45 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. N.M. Bolton and Mrs. F.D. Bolton, of Fincastle, Mrs. H.S. Carpenter, of Erie, Pa.; and Mrs. Howard Holland of Suffolk; three sons, Richmond H. Peters, Jr. and Lomax Peters, of Franklin, and R. Worth Peters, of Manassas; nine grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Susie Metcalf, of Roanoke, and one brother, R.A. Peters, of Franklin. Funeral services will be held from the home on High Street Monday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock by the Rev. R.D. Stephenson, assisted by the Rev. H.W. Davis, burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be J.C. Parker, J. Edward Moyler, C.C. Vaughan, George Watkins, Dr. Darden Jones, Patrick Peters, Allen Soble and J.W. B.
