PETERSON FRANKLIN - A funeral service for William M. Peterson was conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. R.E. Brittle of Hunterdale United Church of Christ. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were Raymond Bess, Scott, Lassiter, Garnet Whitley Sr., Garnet Whitley Jr., William Bradshaw, Billy Dilday, Jesse McClenny, and Waltz Freeman. Peterson, 58, a justice of the peace and a retired nurseryman, died early Monday in his home. A native of Southampton County, he was the husband of Mrs. Emily Hasty Peterson and a son of Johnnie and Mrs. Maggie Worrell Peterson of Southampton County. He was a member of Franklin Congregational Christian Church, Woodmen of the World Lodge 18, and Fork of the River Ruritan Club. Besides his widow, surviving are two brothers, Wallace M. Peterson of Pensacola, Fla., and E. Lee Peterson of Greensboro, N.C.; and two sisters, Mrs. Gattie Tucci of Richmond and Mrs. Virginia Sullivan of Chesapeake. William M.
