She was a native of Greensville County and the daughter of Walter and Mrs. Charlotte Roberts Neblett. She was the widow of Filmore M. Powell, and was a member of Boykins Baptist Church and Boykins Woman’s Club. She is survived by one son, M. Graves Powell of Boykins, two stepsons, S.M. Powell Jr. of Boykins and L.C. Powell of Suffolk; and two sisters, Mrs. Linwood C. Drake of Sunbeam and Mrs. Reuben T. Stephenson of Raleigh. A funeral service was conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. Ben B. Ussery, Boykins Baptist Church. Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were W.H. Britt, J.M. Britt, H.O. Carlton, Robert B. Poland, W.R. Emmons, Charles Edgar Beaton, Everett Moore and J.B. Johnson. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Boykins Woman’s Club and Ladies Bible Class of the Boykins Baptist Church. Anna G. (NEBLETT; Mrs. Filmore M.)
