Mrs. Powell was a native of this county, the daughter of the late John Thomas and Mrs. Lucy Powell. She was a beloved resident of Boykins for many years and a consistent member of the Boykins Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, W.A. Powell; by two daughters, Mrs. W.F. McKinstry and Mrs. H.G. Coleman, and three sons, George A., W. Hugh and L. Franklin Powell, and 15 grandchildren, all of Boykins; by two brothers, John H. Powell of Petersburg and J.B. Powell of the Boykins community, besides a large family connection and a host of friends. Funeral services will be conducted from the residence of L. Franklin Powell, with whom she made her home, this (Friday) afternoon at 3 o’clock interment to follow in the family plot in Beechwood Cemetery. Martha Frances "Pattie" (POWELL; Mrs. William A.)
